Chad A. Melcher AAMS®
Chad has been with Intrinsic Investors since 2005. He currently has a dual role as both an Investment Advisor and Sales Assistant. As an Investment Advisor he specializes in portfolio management and personal financial planning. As the Sales Assistant he uses his attention to detail and problem-solving skills to support the representatives in providing exceptional service to their clients.
Chad graduated from UW-Madison in 1996 with a B.S. degree in metallurgical engineering. During his more than six years in the engineering world, which included investment casting and food can production, he developed an interest in investing and personal finance. These newfound interests led to a career change that included earning a M.S. in Management–Finance Analysis degree from UW-Milwaukee in 2007. Since joining Intrinsic Investors, he furthered his education by earning his FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 securities registrations. In addition, Chad completed the College of Financial Planning’s Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®) Program, which is a professional designation program that provides strong fundamental financial knowledge with a focus on asset management.
Outside of work, Chad enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, especially on the ski hills of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, watching his sons play sports, following Packers football and Badgers athletics, and playing softball.
